Children’s Ministry

Welcome to Children’s Ministry

Welcome to the Children’s Ministry at Grace Fellowship, where we cherish and nurture the youngest members of our church family. Our ministry is thoughtfully divided into two key areas to cater to the varying needs of our little ones: the Nursery and the Children’s Ministry for Pre-K to 5th grade.

Nursery (Infant to 3 years)

This is the infant room where enjoying learning.

Our goal at Grace Fellowship is to provide a safe and loving environment for infants through children aged 3 years in our nursery and preschool ministry. With God’s help, we aim to plant the seeds of the gospel by lovingly nurturing the little ones who represent the next generation.

For our preschoolers, specifically those aged 2 and 3, we offer a class during the Sunday school hour. Our hope is that they will learn the vocabulary of our faith, thereby establishing a love for God and His Word. Our primary objective is to teach the Gospel in a simple and effective manner through stories, crafts, and songs. During the worship service, these young children are permitted to play together under the care of both nursery staff and member volunteers.

Children aged 4 years and older attend the worship service with their families following the Sunday school hour, as we encourage families to worship together.

Children’s Ministry (Pre-K to 5th Grade)

Sunday School Hour
This is one of the children’s ministry rooms.

We are committed to equipping our children with knowledge of God’s Word, laying a solid foundation for their growth into the early teen years. Biblical lessons from both the Old and New Testaments are presented to showcase the glory of God. Through these lessons, we earnestly pray that our children will recognize their need for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is crucial that we provide them with foundational truths about God and support their growing understanding of God’s Word. By dedicating time in Sunday school classes and worship sessions, we aim to educate them about God’s redemptive story, their own sinfulness, and their essential need for a Savior.

In our children’s Sunday school classes, we use materials produced by Great Commission Publications. Their distinctives are as follows:

  • Our Sovereign God
  • Show Me Jesus
  • God’s Grace in the Covenant
  • Historical Redemptive Approach
  • Church-Family Connection

Children’s Sunday school is divided up into toddlers, preK/Kinder, 1st/2nd, and 3rd/4th/5th grade classes. Sunday school begins at 9:30 am.

Children’s Church (4 & 5 years old)

Children’s Church at Grace Fellowship, a special place crafted for the hearts and minds of 4 and 5-year-olds! Our Children’s Church is an exciting and nurturing environment where our youngest members can explore and grow in their faith, even as they begin to understand the importance of worship and community.

Each Sunday morning, our 4 and 5-year-olds join the congregation for the first part of the service, engaging in the worship experience with their families. This time of shared worship is a beautiful opportunity for our children to feel a part of our larger church family and to experience the joy and reverence of worshiping God together.

After the worship portion of the service, the children are warmly welcomed to Children’s Church. Here, they embark on a journey tailored just for them. Our program is filled with age-appropriate biblical teachings, creative crafts, and engaging stories. These activities are designed not only to teach but also to instill a deep-rooted love for God’s Word in a fun and interactive way.

In Children’s Church, we strive to create an atmosphere where children can learn about Jesus’ love, the stories of the Bible, and how to apply these timeless truths in their young lives. Our dedicated team of volunteers ensures a safe, loving, and enjoyable experience for each child, helping to lay a spiritual foundation that will guide them as they grow.
